www.dukelowrie.comDuke Lowrie is a proud product of the Bossier Parish school system.

Duke comes from a family that believes in working hard for everything in life and learning from the lessons life has dealt. During high school, Duke worked on the weekends at Chick-Fil-A and at a Bossier City business tossing hay to gain experience and earn some money. During his career with the Bossier City Fire Department, Duke decided to enroll in Bossier Parish Community College and then on to LSU-E to earn his Associates Degree in Fire and Emergency Services. During his 20 year career as firefighter, Duke has also worked for Willis Knighton’s Air Rescue and for the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office as a paramedic.

Together with his wife Kara, Duke owns and operates a crawfish farm in North Bossier Parish and is co-owner of Acadiana Mortgage in Bossier City. Over the last 19 years, Duke and his wife Kara have helped secure financing for 14,000 people. “There is no better feeling than helping a family start a grand adventure in their life and making those dreams come true.”

www.dukelowrie.comGrowing up in Bossier Parish, Duke and his brother were always outside enjoying what Mother Nature had to offer: “Being able to walk outside in the morning and take a minute for myself is one of the ways I get to enjoy nature. When you have three children and two of them are twins, you get to answer a ton of questions. I get a kick out of listening to my kids try to teach each other about bugs, plants and animals and in Bossier Parish we have it all.”

Duke is an avid fisherman and hunter. He is a founding member of the Northwest Louisiana Chapter of the Delta Water Fowl Foundation. While Duke was the chairman of the Northwest Louisiana Chapter of the Delta Water Fowl Foundation, their membership was the largest in the nation. Water sports, wake boarding and exercising are a few of the things Duke likes to do in his spare time. Duke was a wrestler in school and many years later became a Southern Regional Powerlifting Champion.
