WIDE-RANGING ENDORSEMENTS AND POLL ARE PUSHING DUKE LOWRIE
TO VICTORY ON OCTOBER 22nd, 2011 IN THE
DISTRICT 8 STATE REPRESENTATIVE BID

State Representative candidate Duke Lowrie today announced that he has received the endorsement of LOGPAC, the political arm of the Louisiana Oil and Gas Association, LABI- NORTHPAC Louisiana Association of Business and Industry and the Bossier City Firefighters Association. A poll by Capitol Strategies of Louisiana on October 2nd, 2011 show that Lowrie is up by 6% over Thompson.
LOGA originally endorsed another candidate but have now opted to endorse Duke Lowrie.
Don Briggs, President of LOGPAC said, “The LOGPAC board took into serious consideration your professional experience as well as your civil involvement and leadership. The business climate is constantly changing and the oil and gas industry is a prime target for lawsuits, environmentalists and politicians looking to make a name for themselves and to bring down the industry. LOGPAC believes you have the ability and desire to stand up against those that wish to do harm and that you will provide support to our industry in your district, parish and state”.

Louisiana Association of Business and Industry is the largest and most effective PAC in Louisiana and they support candidates that are pro-business. “The support of LABI-NORTHPAC is a great honor. As the owner of 4 small businesses and the real business candidate in this race, I understand what it takes to keep a small business going in the right direction during good and bad times. I appreciate the folks at LABI for recognizing that and I won’t let the people of Louisiana down” stated Duke Lowrie.
The Bossier City Firefighters Association have named Duke Lowrie as their candidate of choice. Lowrie said, ““First responders like the firefighters are the ones that we call on when we need help and as the next State Representative I am going to make sure they have what they need to make sure all of us are safe.”
